Goggles for Dogs - V2

After an expensive vet bill to remove plant material from Willow's eye, I needed to get something to protect her. She adapted quickly to the goggles and the training videos were extremely helpful. She now considers the goggles part of her hunting equipment. So far working great.

I saw these goggles on a fellow YouTuber's video in Nova Scotia, Canada. My Aussiedoodle Shadow joins me on my excursions and loves riding on the quad and busting the bush with me. I wanted him to have his eyes protected so he would not harm his vision. I went by the measurement guide and he came up in the small to medium category. I wrote customer service about the sizing and they responded quickly. They advised me to go with the medium and they were bang on. When they arrived I placed them on his head and cinched them up. They were nice and snug but not too tight and had them to the point where they would not fall off. It took a bit for him to get used to them but once he was comfortable with them he was great. I chose the Appalachian Orange for him. The one thing I liked was the fact that they have a nice carrying pouch but also come with a tinted shield that can be used on those very bright days. The quality seems great and I am sure Shadow will get a lot of use out of them this coming year. Watch for our adventures together on my YouTube channel BlueSea Bushcraft & Outdoors. I not only appreciate the quality, but also the colors and training videos are super helpful. My Malinois has trouble blinking in time to avoid twigs and brush entering her eye and while tracking lost pets (Lost Pet SAR) her cornea got scratched. For future tracking we plan to have her wear them.

We bought these after our vizsla suffered from a deep cornea scratch to one eye, resulting in almost losing the eye. The vegetation and terrain that she hunts in is extremely tough with lots of prickly grasses/shrubs/trees. Especially the locust tree spines!
While we absolutely appreciate this goggle to protect her eye for the remainder of the upland bird hunting season, they are not the end all be all solution for this region. After her first run in thick vegetation, the lens was scratched in 2 spots but better than her eye! They also got caught and pulled off her eyes, onto her forehead. We will continue to use them for the remainder of the season to protect her eye but not sold if she will wear them for every hunt next year. I'm not sure how long the lens and straps will last.

I can see us using this in the snow, skiing with the polarized darker lens and having no problems.

Love the doggles! They fit great, the how to size guide is spot on. I watched the training vid and did what they said, it worked! Maddie loves them and so do I nothing is getting in those eyes. They adjust easily and they must be comfortable, she isn’t trying to rip them off. Get to “Gearing Up”! To catch that stick!
