1. Head Circumference
Measure the head circumference where you expect the goggle to land on the forehead - typically an inch or so behind the eyes.
2. Muzzle Circumference
Measure the circumference of your dog’s muzzle where you expect the goggle to land on their nose - usually around the back of their mouth.

They fit my dog well, she’s kind of in between sizes (medium & large) but I’m glad I sized up. The straps are super easy to adjust & they give her a good amount of peripheral vision. I assume they are fairly comfortable as she has taken to them very well fairly quickly. The Himalayan pink looks so cute on her & they match her bio thane leash!
Larry’s been wearing rexspecs back to the V1 as a puppy. This is his second pair of V2’s and the white matches my truck perfectly. He wears them when ever we go anywhere involving the car and will have them on for hours out at the beach, walks/ hikes, bars and breweries. We take them off when he goes into dog-parks since most dogs dont like the reflection/not seeing his eyes. That said His last pair of v2’s lasted a whole 2 years and 6 months before they needed replacing. Considering the abuse these go through that’s impressive. Also please note larry wears a proper seatbelt/tether to keep him safe in the car.
Recs Specs are the bees knees when it comes to my blind dog. Our eye care vet recommend Specs to help with UV light as we are at a pretty high altitude and UV light is stronger, less filtered. While my dog can't see, his eyes are impacted by environmental factors and these have, with luck, bought us some time in the deterioration of his eyes which probably will necessitate eventual removal. Plus, let's "face it", he looks way cool in his Specs! I HIGHLY recommend watching the videos to learn how to adapt Specs to your pet and, watch the video on swapping out lenses. Gotta hear the click to know the lens are snug in the goggles!
While it is not a club I wanted to become part of, I interact with my dog and other blind dogs and almost to a person, they are buying or have bought Specs. Would highly recommend this as an alternative use for owners looking for UV protection and overall face protection for a blind dog.
Zoe took right to the Rex Specs. Had used Doggles before, but they did not have near the field of vision and because were only elastics straps came off if Zoe shook her head. Rex Specs have a costume fit with quick release closure that keeps them in place. The one piece also fits much better over her nose and comfortable. There were cheaper look alikes on Amazon but did not trust their UV rating or quality. Also, Rex Specs has terrific customer service and a live person picked up the phone when I had a few questions.
You need these for safety reasons, period. My girl has never injured her eyes but figured it’s just a matter of time. These are a must have. Easy to adjust. Affordable. Great support.
